Thought this was pretty interesting. This is a list (alphabetical, in two columns) of commonalities found in every human culture ever studied, as compiled by an anthropologist. 
From tool making and music to bans on rape, certain forms of incest, and murder. |

Some of them seem... I don't know. Wrong. Or unnecessary. Like he really wanted to put things on the list. black (color term) - What, people should see coal and never come up with a word for its color? childcare - Many other species care for their children too. males more aggressive - He forgot to say we all have two arms and two legs. |

Some of the things that are not there are pretty interesting, too - like no prohibitions on cannabalism and/or human sacrifice.
