I loved the original of V.
I hope the reboot is done as well as Battlestar Galactica.

...now I have a reason to wish we had gotten a converter box.



Does anyone know if abc will have it online anywhere as of tomorrow?

Saw a while back that they were making this. Always been a huge fan of the original. May even have been my first sci-fi series ever. I'm sure the effects will be awesome in the new series...I'll probably miss the original actors though.

Yes, the original actors were a big reason why I liked the miniseries as much as I did. I'll tune into this remake just to see how it starts, but my heart really isn't into it.

Sorry, I have no info about this being shown online. I briefly poked around the ABC website but it didn't say anything.

Okay, so I've watched it. I'm glad it was only a one-hour pilot. It moved along well enough, briskly setting up the premise and characters. If it'd been a 2-hour thing with a lengthy preamble, I might have quickly lost patience. As it stands, I thought the show was all right, but I wouldn't call it extraordinary. V's updated look is fine, but it doesn't hold a candle to Battlestar Galactica in terms of "wow" factor, if we're comparing the two. There's also no question I miss the original gang. Faye Grant's Julie Parrish was a fresh and appealing lead character in the original V. Here in the remake, the FBI agent played by what's-her-name has zero appeal to me. Sorry. I may still catch next week's episode, but it's doubtful I'll become a regular viewer.

Even so, should anyone find it online, please let me know...

Meh. I'll check it out if it ever surfaces here. But I'm a purist, however I may wince at some of the effects of the original.
