Are there any ads you hate so much that you refuse to buy the product?

Are there any ads that made you gag in horror?

Are there any ads so bad you recoil in terror when you see that product in the store?

For me the two worst ads I have ever seen would be this one I had the misfortune to see one morning when eating breakfast. That one made me gag. It was for bran cereal and featured internal organ puppets singing and dancing about how happy bran cereal makes them. Believe me, you do not want to see a stomach and intestines singing and dancing at breakfast time!

I recoiled in horror in the store when I saw "Enzyte" (spelling?). It is some sort of weird "male enhancement" over the counter medicine. The ads have this moron named Bob in them. The box had a big picture of him and his big fake smile, when I had the horrible experience of seeing it in the store.

I hate all ads for Viagra, Cialis, and all other medicines of that ilk. Those and beer ads are often all you will see when watching sports. It gives the impression that all American men are impotent alcoholics. ******************************************************

While Tam finds them funny I can't stand the new Dairy Queen comercials. I guess I don't like people stealing stuff, dropping bags on innocent's heads and yanking out hairpieces. People are mean and selfish enough without these prompts. *****

My dad in California has real problems with the Vern Troyer and Fat Bastard commercial. It goes with out saying, my father has never seen an Austin Powers movie. taraswizard

I simply cannot stand the new Lowes commercial--they've absolutely butchered a great, emotionally powerful, song: Big Country (by the same group) and turned it into a commercialized piece of U2 wannabe jingle pap-crap. It's a good thing I shop at Home Depot because you couldn't pay me to go to Lowes after that travesty!!!:"> <i>Edited by: danlo60 at: 10/20/06 11:07 am

I have not yet seen that one, Danlo. But I love that song, so it might well irk me!

The federal government is really cracking down on the makers of Enzyte for false advertising, false testimonials, etc. etc. They have over a hundred legal charges against the owner of the company that makes that crap. Hopefully this means no more Smilin' Bob the Moron commercials! ******************************************************

I am absolutely horrified by the Directv commercials with the sets and cast of Star Trek. ******************************************************
