Another midseason replacement series. Century City on CBS here in the States. Anybody watching it? And whadya think? (I have some thoughts, but I would rathe hear yours first) Premise, lawyers in the early part of the 21st century deal with issues of new technology and modalities of crime and malfeasance. taraswizard

I kind of like it. The characters are pretty good (can't remember names yet) and the subject are interesting possibilities.

Seems like most of the plots are based around medical technologies, ie: brain implants, cloning, test-tube babies, bionic eyes, etc......

I don't know if it will become a fixture, but it's good..

Earth, it looks like you might be enjoying this more than me. My current evaluation is that the plots so far have been very weak. With the exception being last nite's episode and the A story line about the man with the neural implant. My evaluation of weak plots is based on the first two episodes except for the technology aspects there would be essentially no story. IOW, the old criticism of SF in general, that if was not for the description of gizmos and gadgets SF would not exist.

However, do not get me wrong I am watching and will probably continue to, since I am a sucker for courtroom dramas. It makes Tuesday nite TV a little better granting on what a weak series Navy NCIS is turning out to be (this new series has exactly two tolerable aspects the appearance David McCallum (you all hafta remember Ilya Kuriakin from UNCLE serie) and the goth girl who plays their forensic analyst). taraswizard

According to a press release Thursday, it has been announced that this new series has been cancelled. Same press release says American Idol was routinely beating this in ratings (INCREDIBLE). taraswizard
