Has anyone else noticed that CSI and CSI: Miami keep featuring genre actors as guest stars? I've listed the ones I've come across so far, but be interested to know if there's more I missed.

Virginia Madsen (from Candyman, among others)

Ben Browder (Farscape, the same episode also featured a character called 'DJ Scorpius', and also had Robert Beltram in it of Star Trek:Voyager fame)

Tony Todd (Candyman, and lots lots more)

Jeffrey Coombs (Re-Animator, DS9)

Michael Rooker (Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer, and others)

I know there's more, but I can't remember the others right now.

And not forgetting that the regular cast includes Gary Doudan who was in Alien 4, and William Petersen who was in Manhunter, the prequel to Silence of the Lambs

HOORAY AND WOO HOOO!! A thread for CSI. A great show by itself. Another genre actor who's been is CSI is Jeff Kober, who has several different roles on BtVS, including the evil magick dealing wizard Rack (season 6), and an insane vampire that Buffy had to fight when she was stripped of her Slayer power (episode Helpless),

Marge Helgenberger was in the movie Species, along with Michael Madsen (BTW he is Virginia Madsen's brother). I just thought up a new Celebrity game, six degrees of Michael Madsen.

CSI is my fav show and Marge is def hot! She's turning into quite the bad girl lately-cashing the check from her murdering casino tycoon "dad" and going out with the strip-club manager. Grissom's hearing probs and hints that he's leaving add to the intrigue. I don't watch Miami as much as I used to with my 3rd, after NYPD Blue, fav show 3rd Watch being on at the same time. Other shows I enjoy along the same theme-line are Law & Order CI (love the way Vincent's character thinks!) and Crossing Jordan which is back on the air, finally! WOOHOO! I think it would be neat if Grissom and the little guy from Crossing Jordan got together and discussed their fav topic: bugs! *****

Watched another episode the other night, and it had Xander Berkeley in it - he played Virigina Madsen's husband in Candyman (what is it about actors from Candyman that are so popular with CSI?) and 'Radioactive George' from the first two 24 series

Danlo, quick question. You're still watching NYPD Blue? I gave up on it when they killed off Andy's son, I just thought that was so unnecessary and tortuous. (That might sound kinda funny from a BTVS fan). And then when I found out that Sylvia had died too, I was really glad I was not watching anymore. And I did not like Jimmy Smits replacing David Caruso, and I was disgusted when little Rickie Schroeder (kid from silver spoons) came on board. Talk about jumping the Shark. So one can see I gave up on Blue a real long time ago.

CSI. This show is so good. The writing is sharp has an edge and is witty; furthermore, it treats the audience like an adult. Is it just me or does the show have a very Michael Mann (Michael Mann of course the person who gave us all Miami Vice, don't laugh in the back, that was a good show) feel to it. Furthermore, I have heard from actual forensic scientist that the depiction of the science on the show is fairly realistic and true to reality. Welll, that was a ramble (or maybe a babble). (BTW, if anyone cares my friend in Cincanatti, works for the same company I used to, who is a big SF watcher is big CSI fan, too) taraswizard

Last night's episode had Julie Benz (BtVS, AtS Darla vamp who sired Angelus, 4400 and Taken miniseries) as a guest star. taraswizard

Sarah Sidle (Jorja Fox), is a character that's very reviled and disliked by many CSI fans. Could someone explain to me, why?

This is tangentially related to the reveal, see last message. taraswizard
