Please dont laugh at me, but Im a pretty big Star Wars novel fan. Theyre pretty good actually. Writers such as Timothy Zahn, Kevin J. Anderson and other fairly popular Sci/fi writers have contributed to the collection of SW novels. Edited by: taraswizard at: 3/18/04 1:36 pm

I've been waiting 4 u 2 start a Timothy Zahn topic HLM! Please start 1! Boba Fett & Han Solo r my favs! Love all the movies--even liked Jar-Jar (now that's lame!!! well I mean he didn't disturb me as much as others, and I feel I understand his purpose...). Only read A Splinter of the Mind's Eye by Alan Dean Foster. I have heard that there r many good SWs books out there, especially the Zahn ones!! Haven't seen 5th one, yet... The true human being is the meaning of the universe. He is a dancing star. He is the exploding singularity with infinite possibilities.

I love the Star War movies, too. The only books I have read are the ones that directly relate to the first 3 Star Wars movies that came out - the first 2 were pretty well written. The third, Return of the Jedi - I found the prose a bit overdone!! But I still enjoyed it.

There was one that I read that was really good - it was called "I, Jedi!', but I can't remember who wrote it. I, my husband, and my older son all passed it around and greatly liked it. Mhoram might know who wrote it. my sister, o my sister! There's the cause on 't. I, Jedi is really good. And my mom brought along a couple of Star Wars books on one of our camping trips last summer and we all took turns stealing them from each other. That was fun! And may the best wrestler win!

Just did a search, Michael Stackpole wrote I, Jedi and about 6 others. Dang there r alot of SW books and authors out there! Even, the dreaded, Brooks has written a few! And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

Ahira, Ahira, he called out silently to the sky. Ahira, Ahira

I think Goodkind has too, and I heard a rumor that Martin was gonna write one? He whose desires have been throttled,
who is independent of root,
whose pasture is emptiness-
signless and free-
his path is as unknowable
as the of birds across the heavens.

If Martin ever writes one, that would be awesome! But I'd be pretty surprised if he does -- he's pretty busy with ASOIAF and Hedge knight stuff right now. Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell

The Heir to the Empire books are simply amazing. Thrawn is a brilliant character, both himself and Zahn's conception of him. The Noghri and ysalamiri were fascinating species. Joruus and all the clone stuff was very well done. Mara and Paelleon are great characters. It's all great, great stuff! ____________
Highdrake's mastery of spells and sorcery was not much greater than his pupil's, but he had clear in his mind the idea of something very much greater, the wholeness of knowledge. And that made him a mage.

I also loved those books. The original SW novels. Pellaeon was my favorite. But I liked Thrawn, too.

"Come to Elfhand," the troll said.
The child thought for a while....
"N-no" said the child
"Why not?" said the troll.
"Mother made a jam roll this morning," said the child.
