My vote would have to go to Jar Jar Binks, unless someone can remind me of someone even worse... Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell

Joe Pesci in Casino-all he did was smoke cigarettes and say a very bad curse word all the time! And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

Ahira, Ahira, he called out silently to the sky. Ahira, AhiraEdited by: danlo60 at: 10/29/03 11:12 am

While the horror classic The Haunting was an excellent film overall, I have to admit I wanted to slap that mousey main character silly.

I think duchess beat you to it actually...

Alph which version of the Haunting? In the old one Julie Harris needed to be slapped around--but that's what made her character so vunerable and great. *****

As I recall, that character's pretty annoying in both, but I was thinking of the original, which I saw a few weeks ago.

If we could expand this to tv shows, Wesley Crusher would be right up there for me. For some reason that kid just bugs me...

To add to those comments I would have to include Dr. Crusher (Gates McFadden), also, in those episodes that included Wil Wheaton. In episodes that included Dr. Bev Crusher and Wesley Crusher, I would almost physically cringe when the Doctor appeared on screen and shreek with pain when she would say some of the dreadful dialogue they gave the character. However, in those episodes that included only Dr. Crusher sans offspring, they actually wrote the character intelligently.

Also from TV, Carla from Cheers (this is way contrarian). First, I will qualify my POV and say I was never a fan of the series (I did not even like it at all). But, since my best friend's fiancee was a big Cheers watcher, whenever, I visited Cheers would be on the TV. I did not find anything the character did was funny. taraswizard
