Alph which version of the Haunting? In the old one Julie Harris needed to be slapped around--but that's what made her character so vunerable and great. *****

To add to those comments I would have to include Dr. Crusher (Gates McFadden), also, in those episodes that included Wil Wheaton. In episodes that included Dr. Bev Crusher and Wesley Crusher, I would almost physically cringe when the Doctor appeared on screen and shreek with pain when she would say some of the dreadful dialogue they gave the character. However, in those episodes that included only Dr. Crusher sans offspring, they actually wrote the character intelligently.

Also from TV, Carla from Cheers (this is way contrarian). First, I will qualify my POV and say I was never a fan of the series (I did not even like it at all). But, since my best friend's fiancee was a big Cheers watcher, whenever, I visited Cheers would be on the TV. I did not find anything the character did was funny. taraswizard
