Duchess of Malfi wrote the following in another message about Episode III RotS Quote:Well, I found it to be a much better movie than either Episode 1, or the POS that was Episode 2.
That said, Portman and Christiansen still stink big time, and their "romance" still feels as flat as a pancake. Howver, there are, thankfully, not many scenes with both of them, and the movie benefits from that, IMHO.
The beginning space battle was superb, and I wish it could have lasted longer.
I think the book was a lot better than the movie. The book develops the various characters a lot more, and described the various battles, in particular, much better. The movie seemed rushed in comparison, and many of the deaths seemed quick and crappy (especially Dooku's).
The book also had more scenes between Palpatine and Annakin, so that you could follow Annakin's descent into the dark side in more complete way.
Also, it explains things such as Yoda suddenly bailing out of his battle with Palpatine, which the movie showed but did not explain at all.
However -- the movie was definately watchable and enjoyable.
