Ipods are great in concept.

Ipods are cute little toys.

Ipods are of great value to music lovers.

Unfortunately, in my experience, ipods are pieces of junk!!

My older son wanted an ipod for his combined birthday/Christmas gift a couple of years back.

We had to replace it twice because it would just stop working.

Now it is off warranty, and is stuck in disk mode. We have tried everything short of throwing it against the wall!

Ipods - great in concept - but the quality is sadly lacking. ******************************************************

We tried everything to get it out of disc mode. We googled and tried all sorts of advice, short of throwing it against the wall.

I finally broke down and got him a new one. I was going to get a nano, but that seemed silly - a 30gig ipod cost only $50 more than the nano, so I just got him another ipod. Hopefully this one will not be a lemon like the other ones. ******************************************************
