Has anyone here had lasik eye surgery? A friend of mine had it done a couple of weeks ago and it really improved her eyesight. I thought that the doc was a little steep with the price he charged - almost $3500 for both eyes. Other friends of mine have had it done successfully for $750 an eye. I've thought about it, though I only really need it for one eye.

One of my good friends had it done last winter on both eyes. He took a while to get used to it, but seems very happy now -- its the first time since he was a little kid that he doesn't have to wear glasses. He bought the sugery at a charity auction, for a much lower price than what you indicated.

I've thought about it, but I think I'll wait until the much more advanced techniques they use in Canada make it over here. A lot of people who live in Michigan go over to Windsor and get it done... Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell
