Wow...

Being a member of Facebook has paid off.

Someone started a page there for members of my high school chorus groups. And someone had a couple of .mp3 files of the top group when I was in it my senior year. I've never heard recordings of us before...

*happy tears*

They were right, my voice was distinctive and I carried the altos (in other words, my voice is the overall tone of the alto section). Not really something to be proud of, but my director always encouraged me so... <shrug>

In case anyone would like to hear us, let me know.
I'll be glad to send one of the files.

Wow! Old recordings from your high school years? That must've been a bit of a shock. I'm happy for you, Menolly. (I, on the other hand, am a guy who'd be happy to forget his school years.)

I have tons of recordings, both good and bad, of me playing bass. I also have a few of me on guitar. I even have 1 or 2 of me singing, though the audio quality is pretty poor (I won't even go into the dubious quality of my singing ).

we made "records" of my 5th and 6th grade band about 100 years ago - used to pull them out for the kid until my turntable died

I play 12 string guitar in my church praise band.
We're not that great, but then, we have a very forgiving audience.......
It's lots of fun & a great release for tension a couple times a week..
