Well, this movie shows very well how Natalie's statements were a primary mover of the group to change their focus from being a primarily thought of as a 'commercial' country and western group. So as a result of the statements Dixie Chicks partial reinvention, gaining new fans along the way that in many ways most likely made for the ones lost, into a something different from what they were before.
