The biggest electronic music festival in the world is being here about 35 miles from here as I type. It's supposed to be an incredible amount of fun, but I usually work Memorial Day weekend, and have never had the chance to go. I usually have to work Labor Day weekend, too, so miss the big jazz festival as well.

Damelon has inspired me to listen to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata this morning. Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell

I am envious. Jazz and Electronica, sounds like a fun town.

Here there's lots of banda music... in fact, my old computer had a midlife crisis and decided to become a 24/7 banda radio station... I had no choice- I killed it with extreme prejudice.

Just got the new Metallica CD, St. Anger. I really don't know what to make of it yet (considering every other CD of theirs I liked straight off). I'll get back with you guys on it. ________________

Made the mistake of looking at the new artisits display at Target when I stopped off to buy some shampoo and deodorant today.
So I picked up 3 CD's by people I never heard of before:
Rooney (self-titled)
Taking Back Sunday -- Tell Alll Your Friends
Guster -- Keep it Together

I'll let you all know how they are...

ballsy! And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

Ahira, Ahira, he called out silently to the sky. Ahira, Ahira

Roony's not bad. I got a few of their mp3s while checking out the lollapalooza 2nd stagers.

Guster is definately good. They have a new CD out? ________________

By the way, I really enjoyed Roony and Guster. I forgot to bring any tunes with me tonight, so am listening to someone's home burned greatest hits compilation CD. Seems to be lots of stuff from the late 1970's on it... Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell

some songs I played @ a drinking establishment the other day:
11 o'clock/tick-tock-U2
Loser-Cracker
Spoonman-Soundgarden
Everything Zen-Bush
Interstate Love Song-STP
The Heartland-U2...

And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.
