Not listening 2 anything now but have an odd urge 2 listen 2 Neil's Don't Let it Bring You Down from After the Gold Rush!(brave smilie)

DON'T LET IT BRING YOU DOWN
Words & Music by Neil Young
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Old man lying by the side of the road
With the lorries rolling by,
Blue moon sinking from the weight of the load
And the buildings scrape the sky.
Cold wind ripping down the alley at dawn
And the morning paper flies,
Dead man lying by the side of the road
With the daylight in his eyes.

Don't let it bring you down,
It's only castles burning,
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around.

Blind man running through the light of the night
With an answer in his hand.
Come on down to the river of sight
And you can really understand.
Red lights flashing through the window in the rain,
Can you hear the sirens moan ?
White cane lying in a gutter in the lane
If you're walking home alone.

Don't let it bring you down,
It's only castles burning,
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around.

Don't let it bring you down,
It's only castles burning,
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around.

Old man lying by the side of the road
With the lorries rolling by,
Blue moon sinking from the weight of the load
And the buildings scrape the sky.
Cold wind ripping down the valley at dawn
And the morning paper flies,
Dead man lying by the side of the road
With the daylight in his eyes.

Don't let it bring you down,
It's only castles burning,
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around.

Don't let it bring you down,
It's only castles burning,
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around.

Kickin' back w/the s, s & a fish called Wanda. Just lit a beautiful fire & listening 2 my fav Xmas CD, Smooth Yule:

Lo, How a Rose is Ever Blooming-Dave Grusin
God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman-Kenny G
A Song for Prima-John Tesh
Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire-Kitaro
Deck the Halls-Ottmar Liebert
Silent Night-Jim Brickman
O Little Town of Bethlehem-David Benoit
Good King Wenceslas-Laurence Juber
Snowbound-Ramsey Lewis Trio (killer song! )
Winter Wonderland (next 2 O Holy Night my #1!) -Dave Koz
Carol of the Bells-Kurt Bester
Auld Lang Sine-Tom Scott
O Tannebaum-Kevin Eubanks

only decent thing I EVER bought @ Blockbuster! And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

Ahira, Ahira, he called out silently to the sky. Ahira, Ahira<i>Edited by: danlo60 at: 12/24/02 8:46:38 pm

Schism is 1 of the best songs I've heard in years! The lyrics (and the bassline) literally blow me away:

I know the pieces fit cuz I watched them fall away
mildewed and smoldering, fundamental differing,
pure intention juxtaposed will set two lovers souls in motion
disintegrating as it goes testing our communication
the light that fueled our fire then has burned a hole between us so
we cannot see to reach an end crippling our communication.

I know the pieces fit cuz I watched them tumble down
no fault, none to blame it doesn't mean I don't desire to
point the finger, blame the other, watch the temple topple over.
To bring the pieces back together, rediscover communication.

The poetry that comes from the squaring off between,
And the circling is worth it.
Finding beauty in the dissonance.

There was a time that the pieces fit, but I watched them fall away.
Mildewed and smoldering, strangled by our coveting
I've done the the math enough to know the dangers of a second guessing
Doomed to crumble unless we grow, and strengthen our communication

cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any sense of compassion

between supposed lovers
between supposed brothers.

And I know the pieces fit.
