Not modern human OR Neanderthal though related to both; DNA says this species has modern descendants in Micronesia.

I think there was a lot of mixing going on between/among these two extinct human species and early modern humans throughout Eurasia. (As I told one of my kids - if it will hold still long enough no matter what it is there is a human male somewhere who will screw it ).

This new group has genetic descendants in the New Guinea area, and the Neanderthals left genetic descendants in Europe - including rock star Ozzie Osbourne!
