It's a strange schedule this week, and it may change (edit 4 hours later: there already is a change with the Bears/Packers game)! I don't think there's a Thursday game (and no more MNF), but I'll let you know...It's

Week Seventeen

Saturday, December 30th
Gaints at Washington (evening)

Sunday, January 1st
early games (and there are tons):
Detroit at Dallas
Miami at Indianapolis
Oakland at Jets
St. Louis at Minnesota
Buffalo at Baltimore
Cleveland at Houston
Carolina at New Orleans
New England at Tennessee
Seattle at Tampa Bay
Atlanta at Philadelphia
Pittsburg at Cincinnatti
Jacksonville at Kansas City

afternoon games:
Arizona at San Diego
San Francisco at Denver

SNF:
Green Bay at Chicago
end regular season (but stick around for the NFL Playoffs/Super Bowl Challenge)

my picks:
Ok, here it is folks: not only do you really need me to make very crappy picks but this is, without a doubt, the toughest week of the season to pick. Strange outside shots for the playoffs, some must wins to make the playoffs, some teams need momentum going in and some teams may rest a bunch of starters, or not give a damm!
Gaints would rather play in the Fiesta Bowl, apparently!
kittens don't care, Dallas needs to...
I could easily lose this as Brown showed last night that he's really coming back from injury and could run all over Colts--but then again Colts must have playoff momentum

Childress looks like he wants to go home

Carr still has something to prove, nobody else cares
Go! Go! Go!
Upset Special! Young can make the playoffs and hot Titans meet a human Brady this week
Toughest game to call-TB ready to spoil and get ready for next year--I'll say squeak, really squeak!
Garcia's the man and Westbrook looks pissed off
haven't looked good lately but have to win to have some kind off a chance to sneak in by the back door. But they're not Balt's D, so Parker could run and make this very close...(if they start him, that is...)
once again Chiefs have very good out of division record but it won't be enough to make the playoffs

D still needs to get it together, so this will be a good practice game 20-10 (30pts)

Even tho they've shown way too many Giants games on NFL Network and other channels here, I've gotten so used to Thursday games that I'm absolutely dying to watch some football tonight! *****

The guys are up in Frankenmuth for the day, and I am thinking they might not get back in time to make any picks for the Saturday game. ******************************************************

Well it looks like we're down to a magnificent 9 this week-please keep playing along with us in the Playoff/SB Challange.

SatNF result:
I was so sick and tired of playing their @#%$-ass, Eli-go-home style of football that I really wanted their season to end last night. Aside from a really cool pass from Randle-El to S. Moss the Skins packed it in and let Tiki have his hour of glory, and did a damm disgusting job of it too! Check this out: 234 yds rush 3 TDs! Good job Tiki! Oh, the final score was 34-28.

early standings:
clearfrontier 1-0
diamondraught 1-0
jelerak 1-0
kinslaughterer 0-1
Mr. Sunshine 0-1
californiababy 0-1
A Gunslinger 0-1
Damelon 0-1
danlo 0-1

Sorry I screwed up the schedule a bit--there are, still, 6 games to finish today. The NFC playoff picture has just been decided and dammit the stinking Giants snuck in the backdoor; East: South: North: West: and the wildcards are and .

early results:
There were about 3 upsets that got almost everyone, so lets get them out of the way- (yes you're not seeing things) 39 Dall 31-everybody on Det scores off some bad Cowboys TOs. Dillion 2 TDs 40 Tenn 23. There's still life left in as Delhomme and Smith team up for 2 TDs 31 NO 21 23 TB 7 23 Oak 3 (Jets should be a wildcard) 14 Cleve 6 35 Jax 30 gives KC a slim chance to make the playoffs/eliminates Jax. LJ scores 3 TDs and breaks the single season carries record with 412!!! Steven Jackson 142 yds 3TDs 41 Minn 21. Finally, this game was a shock to alot destroy any chance of Cinn making the playoffs by winning 23-17 in OT, Parker 134 yds rush 2 TDs.

current standings:
diamondraught zooms off 7-3
danlo 5-5
clearfrontier 5-5
Damelon 4-5
kinslaughterer 4-6
A Gunslinger 4-6
californiababy 4-6
Mr. Sunshine 4-6
jelerak 4-6

so the afternoon games are:
Buff at Balt
Miami at Indy
Az at SD
Atl at Philly
and SF at Denver (Denver has the best chance to join Jets as wildcard, Plummer just replaced Cutler who went out with a concussion)
