Carolina 12-5 at St. Louis 12-4
Rams have speed at home but Panthers have a real pass rush. This game is a toss up but I'll take Rams over Panthers 24-13

Tennessee 13-4 at New England 14-2
McNair looked shaky vs. Ravens and George can't run on NE so I've got to take Pats 24-14

Indianapolis 13-4 at Kansas City 12-4
Colts look tough but KC has enjoyed some rest. This game has the potential to be a true shoot out. I'll take KC at home 34-28 (It will probably turnout to be a defensive battle )

Green Bay 11-6 at Philadelphia 12-4
I'll be honest, I'm scared, real scared. I don't like all this "destiny" garbage floating around Green Bay or Ahman not fumbling. No matter, I'll dance with who brought me. Philly beats Pack 27-20 What we have here is a failure to communicate.

I agree w/u about George v. NE--but what really scares me about this so called "destiny-Brett's dad thing" is bad calls by the refs--especially like the fumble b4 the whistle was blown in last weekend's game...(kinda **old foggy reminisence** like the bought-off refs back in the Staubach/Landy days, joking, kinda! but still scared...) *****

Believe it or not we're already 1/2 way though the playoffs-as far as # of games are concerned. I hope the background image here in The Ice Dome isn't, in some way, prophetic. In any case Carolina moves on and none of us picked them!

Saturday results:
Very good game, nontheless, in fact both games were very good. The Panthers came out looking good and Rams a little rusty, and as soon as Stephen Davis went out hurting Marshall Faulk came on like gangbusters. Carolina's D looked better, they got hit with alot of penalties, some very questionable, key field goals missed, Rams hung tough and made some gutsy calls-we go 2 OT. In double OT both teams totally xhausted but some life left in (nondrafted freeagent) Jake Delhomme's arm and Steve Smith's legs. Smith scampers 4 6! Panthers 29 Rams 23. hold it at home. Despite McNair's heroics and 2 degree temps-Adam Vinatteri pops another gamewinning ice-cannonball through the uprights--and it barely made it, 2...Titans kept it close and almost pulled it out, but Drew Bennett's hands were another story...Patriots 17 Titans 14

Saturday standings:
diamondraught came closest to the actual outcome of the NE game and dAN hit the NE/TENN pt. total right on the head!! He and clear come closest to the Car/St. Louis total...
Damelon: 5-1**!
diamondraught: 5-1**
clearfrontier: 5-1*
dAN: 4-2**^
Earthblood: 4-2^
kinslaughterer: 4-2
danlo: 4-2 *****

Wow! What was Brett thinking, that floating butterfly to no-one, in OT! Really unlike the man, it's gonna eat at him awhile! (And all cheeseheads!) I almost nailed this one!

Wow! Even tho I was secretly rooting 4 KC-what a great weekend of football!! 3 games go in2 OT!

Sunday results:
Priest Holmes rushes 4 175 yds and 2 TDs, but KC's D couldn't stop Indy what-so-ever! The AFC's co-MVP Peyton Manning throws 4 303 yds and 3 TDs. Indy will be in chilly Foxboro next weekend! Colts 38 Chiefs 31. Like dd said, who knos what was in Brett's head? I had to stop looking at this game 4 a long time as I thought I was having flashbacks 2 certian Tampa Bay games earlier the season. A McNabb fumble set up an ez GB TD, and the Packers D was looking pretty damm awesome. Somehow the "magic" started to swing Philly's way in the 4th qt. as Mitchell catches an essential 26 yd pass (on 4th down) from Donovan which set up Aker's FG that sent the game in2 OT. As Earthy predicted...Farve throws an idiotic INT, McNabb manuevers in2 postion 4 the FG that seals the game! Come on Carolina-let's see what u got! Eagles 20 Packers 17.

Sunday standings:
diamondraught comes 1 pt away from perfectly nailing the Philly/GB game on the head! kinslaughter came closest in total pts on the Indy/KC game even tho he picked KC...
Damelon: 7-1**!
diamondraught: 7-1***
clearfrontier: 6-2*
danlo: 6-2
dAN: 5-3**^
Earthblood: 5-3^
kinslaughterer: 5-3*

Sunday, Jan. 18th

AFC Championship/early game:
Indianapolis 14-4 at New England 15-2 (CBS)
NFC Championship/afternoon game:
Carolina 13-5 at Philadelphia 13-4 (FOX)

My picks,
Indy still hot-NE chills them out. Colts with just enuf momentum-Harrison bails them out by turning little pass in2 big play. They squeak 21-20.
If 2 out of 3 Eagles get reasonably healthy should have no prob. We know about Panthers now-and McNabb is to savy and due for much better game-Philly wakes up and rolls 24-14. (If Westbrook and Vincent get healthy add 7 pts to that! ) *****

Somehow they keep winning, even if it is with a little help or mercy from Mike Sherman.

I don't think anyone can beat Indy right now. I've got to take them over NE (Colts beat Pats 31-21)

I love my Eagles. They nearly killed me, but I love them.
Philly over Panthers in another close game 24-21.

Even if my team wins how are they going to beat the AFC team whoever it is? Lets hope they play down to our level like every seems to be doing lately.

NE 31 - IND 24
Manning was great, but he needed every score. He won't get that against NE.

CAR 17 - PHI 14
To me, this one could go either way. Both are only really there because in each game the opposing coach had a brain freeze. To put myself more on a limb, I'll say this will be an OT game.
