I kept thinking that today would, unquestionably, be the most boring day in US sports-then I got to thinking: Well the results of the MLB Allstar game and the WNBA Allstar game are in today (not that it benefits anyone but or ) and signing deadlines in the NBA are finalized today (not that we didn't know where everyone was going a week ago). What else? Danika Patrick is moving to NASCAR and, big surprize, Barry Bonds will be indicted next week.

So what was so special about Monday? Nothing, at least there was news today-Monday they had a "Home-Run" derby and reruns of Zindane's (doesn't qualify as a US sport) headbutt. So I hereby proclaim 7-10-06 the most boring day of the year in US sports. No Wimbeldon doesn't count, nor does Tiger coming in 2nd in some obscure golf tournament!

So we somehow have to make it through the dog days of MLBaseball to July 27th (my birthday! YEA!) for the beginning of NFL training camps (which really don't get that interesting until the middle of August). What go outside and exercise during the beautiful Summer weather? (go Angels! ) *****

Here in Detroit it is easy to get excited about baseball right now - and very hard to excited about NFL football.

The best the Cubbies fans at Wrigley could come up with to taunt us with when we went to the Cubbies/Tiggers game was, "Well your Lions still suck." My response was "That is a law of the universe.
