The "Rocket", intense training and bad attitude included, finally won his 300th game and broke the 4000 stikeout mark as well. Only 20 pitchers b4 him have ever done it. He also has 6 Cy Young awards, btw--he could move past Tom Seaver and challenge Steve Carlton as far as modern day pitchers r concerned. And that's important as some of the real old guys on the list such as Lefty Wynn and Cy Young himself pitched every 2 days or so.
So what's ur take on the guy? Love him in Bean-town, hate him in NY, 4got about him in Toronto? Admire his work ethic? Think he's a creep? How many games will he end up winning in his entire career? Does Maddux or Glavine (well, not if he stays on the Mets! ) have a shot at 300? Will he leave Yankees at the end of the year?... And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.
