The worse I do in Fantasy Football this weekend the more I, seem, to care about the World Series. Or, at least, I'm interested. Fantasy Baseball and now Football have seemed to have sucked the life out of me from paying attention to the Major League Baseball Playoffs and the beginning of the World Series.

Well, the beginning was, somewhat, lack luster in St. Louis with a couple of very low scoring games, but an interesting pitching match-up between Chris Carpenter and C. J. Wilson. They headed into Texas tied 1-1 and the predictions of warm weather and long-ball friendly Arlington Stadium came true as Albert Puljos smacked 3 homers and the Cardinals took a two game lead with a 16-7 victory last night. Tonight Edwin Jackson takes the mound for St. Louis versus Derek Holland of Texas.

When the Tigers were eliminated I stopped paying much attention.

Texas is a good team and so is St. Louis, and both are packed with top notch players. I have tried to watch some of the games, but somehow they just haven't caught my attention or imagination.

I did end up watching part of game 6. Amazingly, it was still going in extra innings when I got home from work in the middle of the night. Very entertaining game! I think Texas would have had to have staked the Cards in the heart to have won that one - the Cards just kept coming back and coming back and coming back...

No surprise when the Cards won the whole thing in game 7. They just refused to lose!
