Well, this weekend starts a new college football season.

The burning question here in the People's Republic of Ann Arbor:
How long will Rich Rodriguez last before he gets fired?

The Gators won their opener, but many of the so-called "faithful" are saying it was one of the worst games for the Gators they have ever seen. I humbly remind them that Brantly is a new starting quarterback and after Tebow we may very well have several seasons of rebuilding pains. But even so...

I think Michigan's quarterback is going to singlehandedly save Rich Rodriquez's career. But I cannot hold it against the kid - everyone who has met him loves him to pieces - he is reportedly shy, intelligent as hell, articulate (when you can get him to talk ) humble, kind, caring, and the ultimate team player. I hope he survives the upcoming Big 10 season intact.

Menolly, I did not see any of Florida's game this weekend. Hope they played better than the week before!

My heart goes out to Michigan State students, players, and fans, and the family of their Coach today.

Thank goodness they got him to the hospital right away, and in time - his prognosis is good, but it must have been pretty frightening for everyone involved.

Went to Happy Valley to see my PSU Nittany Lions BARELY squeek by the Temple Owls.
Having a true freshman QB can be problematic, but the kid's got potential...
PSU has a tough schedule coming up - gotta play all conference teams OSU, MSU Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin.....gulp.......

At least you guys have football teams the 0-4 New Mexico Lobos are the laughing stock of the country. Our coach is a complete moron and we get to run into the meatgrinder that is UTEP for homecoming. WOO HOO!

Rivalry weekend - now meaningless in Ann Arbor in the RichRod Era. Why look forward to a rivalry game against Ohio State when Michigan has no realistic chance in the game?

The only thing anyone here (other than the slappies who inexplicably defend him) has to look forward to is the hopeful firing of RichRod and his replacement with a competent and ethical coach!

Well we only lost 66-17 so it wasn't so bad........... god we suck! (hey let's trade: you get 2 wins in 2 years Mike "the throttler" Locksley and we get Rodriguez )

Rodriguez was fine in his old conference, and might be fine out in yours. He is just not a Big Ten coach, as he cannot field a strong defense. And you have to have a strong defense to compete in the Big Ten. You could have the most potent offense in the country and it would not matter in the Big Ten if your defense sucks. And his defense really and truly sucks.
