Penn State rolls over the hapless Owls, 45-3
Next week is Illinois in Happy Valley, finally a Big 10 opponent to smack so we don't have to keep hearing about how weak the teams they've been playing are...

It was a perfect weekend in State College - got me remembering the old college days...... :blue:

yes, this must have been topsy turvy weekend in college football - with many very good teams like USC, Florida, and Georgia losing games, and bad teams like Michigan winning in huge upsets

The PSU Nittany Lions move up to #6 in the polls!!
Winning when they are supposed to & taking it to the tough competition when they have too.
We'll be playing Mich & Michigan state later in the season Duchess
Too badd about USC.... NOT!!

Penn State should not have any problems with Michigan this year. :wink:

I do not follow Michigan State, but know that they are better than Michigan this year, too. :wink:

UNM crushed Wyoming but I think we're going to be 'shock and awed' when we play BYU next week. :shock:

Penn State wins again when they have too - not the blow out, but a good win. Still at #6 in the polls.
Wisconsin this week - could be a tight game

Ugh. Michigan lost to a MAC team. Ah, the shame of it.

could be worse Duchess, it could have been the University at Buffalo Bulls from the MAC that beat them... :wink:

On a positive note, The Penn State Nittany Lions crush Wisconsin at home 48-7, and 3 of the top 5 teams in the country loose, so PSU moves up to #3 in the country - got our site set on a national championship to send JoePa out on!

Hey, we actually had a chance to beat BYU in Provo until the refs stole the game for us-we had a TD that would have made the game 14-10 BYU called back on an admittedly blown call, and BYU's offensive live was not called for, about, six, clear holding penalties. Oh well...

BYU gets embarrassed by TCU last night 32-7 - what a joke!!

Earthy, it truly would not surprise me if Penn State beats up Michigan by a lot more than that. :wink:

Michigan is terrible this year.

I am planning on working in my garden, making up a huge pot of cheesy chili, and going to the dollar movies rather than frustrate myself by watching the game. :wink:
