OOOOO. Menolly's cooking!   Ice breaking questions for the day: which will be the better football conference this year? SEC or PAC10? (Note that I am not even mentioning the lame Big10 here).  second question: which baseball player do you dislike more - Barry "the Balco Basher" Bonds of Roger "the Chemical Rocket" Clemmons? and why?

Danlo and I go back for years now. He and Fisty are two of the men I would choose to have as brothers, if I could have had brothers.  And what do younger sisters do to their older brothers? They tease the hell out of the them! So I like to tease Danlo about his NFL obsession.

Hate to sound trite but they're both assholes-nothing personal but after hanging around gyms for 30+ year the terms a-hole and roiders are, pretty much, inseparable. Go Lobos! Menolly would whig out on what I eat while watching football games: almost nothing, maybe a bowl of Ruffles with green chili dip-then it's either beer, wine of JD depending on the circumstance. How about making up a nice crock of chili? Then we can all sit back and dip our chips into it, and watch aTOMic's Rays try to keep the Red Sox and Yankees out of the playoffs.  And Danlo - I also view both of them as cheating roiding asshats. But I think I dislike Clemons a little more of the two. At least Bonds' mistresses were of legal age (as far as I know).  It is the affair Clemons had as a 28 year old married father of two kids with an underaged girl well under ten years his junior that really squicks me out.

I had been wondering who he was, as I kept seeing news footage of the guy stepping off his plane. At first I thought some major figure had died or something. (As you can tell, I don't follow the NFL.) |
