So, this morning Paul and I drove Beorn to school, then hung out waiting for his 8th grade graduation. Then, we ate lunch while Beorn finished his school day, picked him up, and drove straight to Tampa airport. So, I was out of touch with any news events.

So...what does danlo greet me with?

"I'm sorry about your basketball coach going to the Magic..."



Someone please tell Billy Donovan hasn't left the Gators...

Looks like the poor Gators get their coach back.

Why the University would want him back after this guy walked out on his kids is the big question. (The kids being the students, of course).

Was this all just a ploy for him to try to get more money out of Florida somewhere down the line?

If a normal person left a normal job like that and then tried to get it back, there would be a huge chance that they would be laughed at and thrown out of the building...

Yes - I am very cynical about big money sports these days - whether college or pro. I do not want to be, but with the seemingly daily news stories of corruption and crime involving various athletes and coaches, it is very hard for me not to be.
