Have about a chapter left of The Darkness That Comes Before, so tonight I will finish that up and start on my reread of The Warrior Prophet. I will probably pause in the middle of that one ,though, to read Land of the Painted Caves. Hard to believe it will be out in less than a week! The early reviews are mostly underwhelming, but I will read it no matter what.

In the middle of The Warrior Prophet - and enjoying it even more on the reread which is amazing, as I loved it so much the first time  - but am pausing in order to read Land of the Painted Caves. Man. I have been reading that series since I was just a kid!

Reading the series by Greg Keyes called The Kingdoms of Thorn and Bone. Rereading the first book called The Briar King. Have read that one before, years ago, but not the rest of the series. I was waiting for it to be completed, then sort of forgot about it. **grumbles about having started too many incomplete series over the years** |

I read that whole series on the e-reader awhile back. Just ran across it again the other day while organizing my e-library. It's pretty good, as I recall.While I was sprucing up the e-reader, I downloaded "Midsummer's Night" by Freda Warrington. I read "Elfland" and liked it a lot. I thought about getting China Mieville's new book too, but I'm going to wait to get that one 'til closer to E-fest so I can read it on the plane.

Finished up the Greg Keyes series, and think that both Highdrake and Menolly would like it. Starting with the second book music, and music composition, play an important part of the story. Overall, I liked it.As a plus - this is a completed series of four books, and it has been out long enough it should be available in used mass market paperbacks or from better libraries.

Reading the 2nd Mistborn book. It's pretty good; it's definitely on the lighter side compared to 'The Crippled God' (which was awesome). |
