I recently read Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King. It is a tie-in to his Dark Tower series, it is tells part of the back story of one of the villains of DT.

This novel is not written in King's usual style. It is more of a Young Adult book. It is written in the style of a fairy tale...

It is set in the mythical kingdom of Delain. Delain has a middle aged king, named Roland, who is advised by a rather dark magician named Flagg. Roland has two sons, a paragon of an heir named Peter, and a much-ignored and unhappy younger son named Thomas...

Flagg is hell-bent on causing trouble in the kingdom, and he certainly finds a way.

While this is certainly not high literature, it was very readable, and I thought it was sort of fun. ******************************************************
