Ah that last post sparked something. Cali have you read Musashi yet? I remember you were asking about it. But that seems like what you were looking for...a bit with an oriental flavor... Asshai by the Shadow a new board, come discuss the darker side of ASoIaF.<i></i>

yes, as Wolflord said, there's Ivanhoe, and another classic would be Don Quixote.

And people will probably throw rotten fruit at me, but there's also the movie The Knight's Tale, starring that total hottie Heath Ledger. There are some pretty good jousting sequences in there. "What did you say to the Emperor about me?" "He wanted to know what I saw in you.I told him that you poured out honor like a fountain, all around you." "That's weird. I don't feel full of honor, or anything else, except maybe confusion." "Naturally not. Fountains keep nothing for themselves."<i></i>

IVANHOE ROCKS! And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

Wolflord, it's too bad no one gave you a poster of Heath Ledger for Christmas -- I could see you happily using it as a dartboard!

I still think Heath Ledger would make a great Geraden! Screw Knight's Story! And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

you have no idea . So me and this girl are talking and getting along pretty well, then somehow the subject gets to heath ledger and I have to endure a 10 minute speech about why the bastard is so hot. Asshai by the Shadow
