Ahira's Hangar

I just had to say that after reading three very good debut novels in The Blade That Comes Before by Joe Abercrombie, Winterbirth by Brian Ruckley, and The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch.

Throw in ongoing masterworks by Stephen R. Donaldson, george R. R. Martin, R. Scott Bakker, Steven Erickson (though I still hate Midnight Tides ) and other still active masters like Patricia McKillip and Gene Wolfe - and I have to say that are living in a GOLDEN AGE people! A GOLDEN AGE filled with older masters and tons of fresh and exciting new talent!

Just had to get that off my chest in a big burst of excitement after reading three such great new voices in great debut novels right in a row like that. Life is good for fantasy fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And new books by George R. R. Martin and R. Scott Bakker hopefully coming out in the next year. Life is very good indeed.

And don't forget the new voices being brought forth by . Espcially those of Xar (North Star, nominated for an ) and iQuestor (Becoming Elijah).
