Sadly, I'll read it no matter what the reviews say. With 12 (counting the prequel) of them on my shelves already, stopping now is not an option.

the American cover has been released - the British cover is a heckuva lot more attractive and the American cover is really and truly fugly, but that said, it is still better than the prototype that was leaked out a while back.

They have recently announced that book 13's title will be Towers of Midnight and book 14's title will be Memories of Light.

Not too bad.

I'll admit that I broke down and pre-ordered it today from my book club, which had a great price. At least the money does not go straight to Tor, as far as I know...

So when is the book earmarked for release

Usually takes 6 months to get out here to SA. Six months from the British release usually. (That's where we seem to get most of our books from.)

Heh. This thing is pretty much a guaranteed best seller, but given the economy right now, I am surprised that they are not going for a holiday period release world wide.

The book came in the mail yesterday. Looks as fat as a usual WOT book, but has larger print than usual, so who knows? I now know what I will be doing during my week off from work next week.

Kevin164 (or something) has given a brief, spoiler-free review in the thread about it's release on the Watch. Mainly Rand and Egwene, very little Matt and Perrin. Says Sanderson did a decent job, but you can usually see where it's him and not Jordan. Recommends it only if you already like the series (as much as possible anyway).
