So let me get this straight:

* wanna be author hires a ghost writer to write a book for her to self publish under her own name

* said ghost writer blatantly plagiarizes a book called The Dark Prince by David Gemmell

* wanna be author claims the work is hers and that she slaved over it for over two years and yadda yadda yadda

* wanna be writer goes around advertising her "new book" on the internet and in local newspaper interviews, always claiming the work as her own, always talking about how hard she worked on it for over two years, her great personal vision, etc. etc.

* wanna be writer places the prologue - which is pretty word for word from the Gemmell book - on her website

* a blogger catches this and makes it public

* wanna be writer blames the plagiarism on everyone else but herself and makes millions of lame excuses, many of them involving her supposed poor health and many supposed personal tragedies

* wanna be writer and her "agent" threaten the blogger with Wicca curses and law suits for making the plagiarism known to the general public and for being so mean in general

Did I miss anything?

As you can see from this thread at the Gemmell discussion board, the members there are furious and have brought the matter to his publisher's attention...

Never heard of her. Some funny comments though. I've just read all 400 odd of them.

I'm gald they caught it...not that it would have made her any money. The damn thing is word for word, and the "proposed outline" takes story elements from a dozen or more other Gemmel books.

This story is just too weird.
