To my shame, I have not read a single one of those - though I had read a handful of the ones on their fantasy list, along with some of the first time novels list.

Just to add I've read one John Barnes Book, 'The Sky So Big and Black', a year or more ago, and I liked it. I've alway meant to get around to reading another one of his novels. I think I'll give 'The Armies of Memory' a shot, since it was nominated.
