59. What Entropy Means to Me-George Alec Effinger
60. The Lathe of Heaven-Ursula K. LeGuin

(except for Zindell, Brin, Asimov and Donaldson if I listed a book from a series I'm paying tribute to the entire series. There may very well be a "better" book in that series)

this was originally posted at Kevin's Watch and Fantasybookspot.com in '05--since then I can easily add Consider Phebas and The Algebraist by Ian M. Banks and The Fall of Hyperion and The Rise of Endymion by Dan Simmons.

Need to read Gaiman, Cryptonomicon, Bakker, Hal Duncan, May and a few others to catch up with the modern world...

Some really great ones there danlo, and so many I haven't read.

Don't worry, I'm so out of date when it comes to sci-fi that it's sad.

Just can't keep up buying them. *sigh*
