I've actually read three of the novels this year - which is probably an all time high for me!

The Chabon and the Buckell are both very good books, well worth reading. The Haldeman is a bit of fluff and nothing particularly special. Yet somehow it keeps coming up on all of these award ballots and "year's best" lists. On the other hand, there is nothing particularly bad about it. either.

As usual, I've not read any of them.
I have, however, seen one of the nominees for screenplay, and read one Norton nominee.

I read one Norton nominee as well.
Probably not the same one as Murrin...

I'm not even sure what the Norton Award is for...?

But yes, I have read one of those, too. I think it is the same one as Menolly - and that would be Harry Potter?

The Norton's an award for young adult fiction.

And yeah, Harry Potter's the one I've read.
