That is weird. I think this is a review of Fall of Hyperion in spanish, obviously, "Supercruciforme" might mean the Shrike. What Heminingway, Cuba, Portugal and Spain have 2 do w/it is byond me...The reference 2 Seldon is Harry Seldon in Assimov's Foundation series--he seems 2 b comparing Seldon's Encyclopedia Galatica 2 Silenus' Cantos...James Brown, however doesn't seem like a spanish name 2 me... And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

I also think it might be some sort of review of Fall of Hyperion. I think that it might also be talking about Simmon's spy novel (which I haven't had a chance to read yet) called The Crook Factory, which is set in Hemingway's Cuba. I don't know Spanish so I'm not entirely sure about that, though.
There are some references to the Endymion books -- I can pick out a few words here and there that seem to point at Endymion, and some of the things that happen in that part of the series. The supercruciform might mean the cruciform parasites, which become much more crucial to the proceedings in Endymion and Rise of Endmion.
If I get a chance I will ask my husband to look at it later this week. He knows some Spanish, and might make more sense out of it than I can. Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell

I'll take another look at it..I kno alot of spanish..just very tired from 2 much heat... And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

My gut feeling is that the Cuban stuff and Hemingway stuff is about the Crook Factory...maybe they threw in a short review of that book, as well... Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell

Oh, wait, I heard about this! It's Simmon's new prequel to the Hyperion saga. The Shrike travels around Spain during the first half of the 20th century, gaining a reputation as the finest bull-fighter in all the land. Tragically, he's killed by Hemmingway in a drunken brawl over the hand of a beautiful senorita.
