I was at another board last night and ran into the theory that the Sithi are aliens who came to the M,S,&T world in spaceships.

The person who made that post said that there are all sorts of clues that support that in the books...they came in "special" ships and crossed a dark and endless ocean...

Clues which I cheerfully admit went right over my head, if they are, indeed, there.

It's been at least a couple of years since I read this series, and I have thus far only read it once. So I thought I would throw this theory on the experts such as Earthy.

Who or what are the Sithi?

I never thought of them as 'space' aliens....
Alien to my thought of a race of beings maybe.
I always placed them in a class like elves in my own mind (as defined by Tolkien, I guess) who came in ships across a great sea, etc...
I was just thinking of re-reading MST, so maybe this would be a good time to do that
