Thanks, Danlo! I naturally voted for Glorfindel. What could be better (if you're an elf) than being an Elf Lord?! He was visible in both worlds at the same time. Killed a dragon once. What a guy! Arise now, Riders of Théoden!Let horse be bridled, horn be sounded!Forth Eorlingas!

We are getting off the topic here!

It was a tough choice, but I voted for Legolas. (And not just because I think Legolas is hot! :"> ). In FOTR, Legolas' character seemed sort of superficial to me, at first, and rather young, for an Elf. But I liked the way Tolkien developed his character throughout the story, and I liked the way he became friends with the Hobbits and the Dwarf Gimli.

I really thought Glorfindel was cool too. He only gets a brief appearance, but you can tell he is wise and has been alive in Middle Earth a long time - he remembers back to the North Kingdom of the Elendil's sons.

I already voted for Galadriel as my favorite female, so obviously I like her.

Arwen doesn't get much character development in LOTR, though her role was enhanced for the movie, so you don't really get to know her.

Elrond is Halfelven, so he falls into a whole different category, IMHO, though I like him very much. (For the record, I couldn't stand the movie Elrond - I thought his look and characterization was all wrong - too young looking and too harsh in his speech and actions. Yuck!)

Geez I didn't remember that about Elrond! I should have let this 4rum's moderator make the poll and had the "Tolkien challenged" step aside!" King u've never seen the Kevin Bacon TV commercial where he can't find his ID? Anyway alot of "modern magazines" have taken a joke from Spy mag (now defunct) that create Kevin Bacon association webs, like X costared w/KB in X and was divorced from X who is the son of director X and it keeps going around until it gets back 2 KB--it's all very silly...So w/Todd in x topic which generates the Todd topic in Music Heaume--who married ST's x and raised Liv Tyler who...well u get the idea! Anyway back 2 the topic, as MSMARY says! The "challenged" will now get out of here How far do you fall Pilot?Edited by: danlo60 at: 6/13/02 6:08:41 pm

LOL, danlo.

Actually, now that I think of it, Arwen, since she is Elrond's daughter, is only part Elven, also...
