I ordered this for my younger son and it arrived yesterday. It is a comic book/graphic novel based upon th Hobbit. it was adapted fro mthe book by Charles Dixon and Sean Deming and is illustrated by David Wenzel. Having looked through it, it looks utterly charming! the people who adapted it into comic book form seem to have done a very good job! Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell

Duchess, this is Infelice from the Watch. I bought that version of the Hobbit as well - just for my benefit really and you're quite right - its adorable. Its appeal even extended to my nephew who was at the time 5 years old. He was captivated by it especially the depictions of Smaug.

He held Smaug in morbid fascination - kept asking me for reassurance that Smaug was only make-believe.

It was his favourite book to read/look at for quite a while - almost the perfect baby-sitting aid. The beauty of life is you don`t have to be modernly beautiful to live it.
(C.S. Lewis)

Farewell sweet earth and northern sky,
forever blest since here did lie
and here with lissom limbs did run,
beneath the moon, beneath the sun,
Luthien Tinuviel,
more fair than mortal tongue can tell.
