So, when you're in Middle Earth and needing drink and company, which pub do you frequent?
The Floating Log, (A tavern of the Shire, the chief inn of Frogmorton and district)
The Prancing Pony, (The chief inn of Bree-Land)
The Green Dragon, (The leading inn of of the village of Bywater in the Shire)
The Golden Perch (The chief inn of the village of Stock in the eastfarthing of the Shire. Its beer was renowned) Arise now, Riders of Théoden!Let horse be bridled, horn be sounded!Forth Eorlingas!

Um, none of the above... I think I'll just take a refreshing pic-nic under a huge and comforting tree in the Old Forest. The Golden Perch for the best beer, but for atmosphere (and Butterbar), I'd have to say The Prancing Pony. I hear there's a statue in front of the Prancing Pony of the 4 hobbits! Arise now, Riders of Théoden!Let horse be bridled, horn be sounded!Forth Eorlingas!

(if we can't revive this thread we may as well kick back here and shoot the breeze and party in the name of the master) And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

Ahira, Ahira, he called out silently to the sky. Ahira, Ahira

Sounds good to me. Which pub are we in? Is it the one with the particularly fine beer? Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell

"about the tales of elves, dwarves, hobbits, wizards and men, these accounts we'd glady have the master re-tell again..." And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. Actually...what am I saying? My favorite Middle-Earth pub is the Wenches Tavern. No contest.
