Theoden -

Cali and I are old friends over many boards. He's pathologically incapable of liking Feanor. But with proper medication he will pull through I believe. "Some of the Scottish troops ran for five miles before they were killed. Others threw themselves into the sea. The number of dead is impossible to calculate, but there must have been several thousand. They included 5 Scottish Earls. The few prisoners who had been taken were put to death on Edward III's order, a final act of savagery for which there is no rational explanation. English casualties were light. Finrod Felagund, who gave his life for Beren and thus made possible the marriage of Beren and Luthien...and so, the whole rest of the story.

Feanor was clever and talented, but he was also self-centered and selfish, and this greatly detracts from his appeal.

I have a soft spot for old Finrod. I also like his name in Adunaic - Nom, meaning wisdom. I wonder if SRD ever read The Silmarillion ? Aure entuluva !

I like Gil Galad and Finrod quite a bit but don't remember all that much as I read the Sil 22 years ago--looking 4ward 2 reading it again! Mathematics is a game. It's pieces are the axioms we create, and it's rules our logic. That mathematics is occasionally useful to mechanics and pilots is accidental -Mahavira Lal, third Lord Cantor
