Since the name of my Purgatory (Syl's new game on the Watch) character comes from the short story , I decided to see what all has been discussed about the book in which it is most commonly found. I love the short story, even though I understand it was written by Tolkien to show Lewis the "proper" way to write "allegory." Has anyone else read it? I was unable to turn up a thread for it...

I did read Leaf by Niggle a long time ago, and have re-read it a few times over the years. Interesting story.
