President Obama has ruined my Labor Day plans!

This is what I was going to do:

It is one of the best free outdoor multi-day jazz concerts in the world. And the weather on Monday is supposed to be perfect!

But the POTUS is suddenly giving a speech on Monday - with Aretha Franklin singing - for free in a freaking parking lot right next to the jazz festival! :roll:

So now there is going to be insane amounts of security, even less parking than before, etc. etc. :razz:

To top it off the Tigers are playing the White Sox Sunday night in a game with important possible playoff implications, so add another thirty thousand or so people to the mix.

Just too much security and too many people!

Doing anything in Ann Arbor this weekend will be impossible, too - it is dorm move-in for UM, and there is a home football game which will bring a hundred thousand or so folks into town on Saturday.

I told Highdrake today that I have nearly talked myself into being a recluse for the next three days. :wink:

Daylight saving just started and the kids are finding it a little difficult to adjust - nice to get the longer days and warmer weather though!

Lot's of activity in the Ice Dome, but none anywhere else! Almost completely finished, finally, whit A Dance With Dragons and I'm pissed-ready to walk to Santa Fe and knock martin's stupid fisherman's hat off his head. Do I care about the World Series? Not really---there's more important things to be doing. Oh well, weather is nice, need to run to coffe shop and finish this dam book so I can start my AATE dissection pronto--then need to find a way to get my lazy ass into the gym after that. Come on Hangar: WAKE UP!!!! :wave:
