You may notice that all our topics have now been unstickied (moderators do not sticky until I tell you, thanks) this is the only way to move the entire database, intact, to a new phpBB forum that Vain is setting up for us. Sorry but problems with EZboard, hack vunerability and 4 years of trying to cope with all the visuals and colors have made a move necessary.

If you'd like to contribute ideas for the new board, go to our test board zindellforums.14.forumer.com/index.php. But note that is NOT the new board...just a test area. Don't worry we'll still have a few (ad free) months where we'll divert members to the new site and Watch there for the grand opening.

New banner--the board itself will look, sorta, like Kevin's Watch and all the categories, moderators and forums will be the same--I'm also, today, getting rid of all unnecessary threads, so if you see post counts going down, That's why. *****

Awesome news Danlo.

It'll be great. Thank the gods (and Vain) that we can take it all with us. (well, all the important stuff anyway. )

OK so everything looks weird right now---in order to facilitate the board database transfer to phpBB we have to be set to the EZboard classic theme in all forums and find a way to open up The Rose Womb Cloisters. Vain is now an admin to help me resolve the RWC problem. I will change themes and maybe put some images back up, or not, after the transfer--I'll certainly get rid of this god-awful background.

As I implied before there will be plenty notification here for all the months before and after the ads (meaning this EZboard is dead) on how to get to the new site...and plenty of membership email notification, and a conspicous notice at Kevin's Watch. *****

Whoa...that was a bit freaky huh?

Looks like some 1920's drawingroom in here. :

And really, if we need to, we can just dump the RWC. Not really vital history huh?

yes it is! Vain found away to open the RWC that I couldn't, so everything is ready for transfer. There are some important codes, links, images and smilies stored there. Yes most of the posts are probably unnecessary--I thought about deleting too, believe me...maybe we can have a public pruning party on the other board! *****

Well, I'd rather lose nothing than anything, so that's good. I just mean that if we had to lose something, better a little than everything.

Anyway, glad it's not an issue.

It appears that stickies STAY removed in forums where a post was made THAT DAY, so later on today I will test my theory--so if you see posts in all forums, except here and The Manifold, you'll know why...

Well, I've unstuck againg and made posts-so let's hope it works--actually 5 forums aren't experiencing problems. The good thing is that tomorrow should be the day of the transfer, maybe Sunday. *****

hmm, I'm not getting the confirmation email. It's only been about 15 minutes, but these things are usually fairly instantaneous. ____________

I still can't get to the new site. I can't sign in until I get the confirmation email, which hasn't come in many hours.

Hey duchess!!! Wow, where you been? I knew you were gone, but figured vacation or a break from the internet. You were sick??? ____________
