I almost hesitate to mention this one, though I have been spending a lot of time lurking around there lately:

It is an anti-author board. :shock:

For those fans who enjoyed the earlier books in Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series who got displeased (to say the least) when the author abruptly changed genres from hard boiled detective noir to plotless pron midseries and want to vent about it. The author told her fans who did not like the switch that they were stupid prudes and to go away in her blog...so a bunch of fans did just that and started this community to mock the author. :twisted:

And it was written as a serious scene, too. Not as parody or comedy or tongue in cheek.

And this from a best selling book in best selling fantasy series by a best selling fantasy author. :roll:

Is it any wonder fantasy gets so little respect from so much of the general public? :razz:
