Bloody hot here already, and still waiting for the first decent rains. Forecast for tomorrow and the weekend...

I wish spring were here. I have crocuses blooming in the yard and one of our two cats is shedding. The last of the snow is nearly gone...but tonight we are supposed to have a big ice storm, and and a couple of hours' drive to the north they will be getting up to nine inches of snow. This winter just doesn't want to end. Is there a jaghut around unleashing the power of their ice warren upon us?

Duchess: Are ice storms fairly regular these days in your neck of the woods? I can only remember one or two in all the years I was growing up in northern Indiana. I was in college by the time I first encountered freezing rain.

We're supposed to maybe get some sloppy stuff overnight Sunday, but our spring weather is farther along. Daffodils are up all over the place, and the cherry trees are starting to bloom.

And I'm starting to feel the first touch of an approaching winter in the air...

It never even got up to freezing today and our low tonight is going to be 16F.

My crocuses are trying to bloom anyway.

We woke up to a little bit of white stuff yesterday, but nothing to get excited about. The cherry blossoms are still on schedule, which is all anybody around here cares about in the spring.

Still having highs in the thirties and lows in the teens.

In other words it's still freezing.

78 Sunny and beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was nasty here with some pretty severe storms, but today has been sunny with weather around 80 degrees. Tonight is supposed to go down to the mid-50s. Time to throw open the windows and turn off the a/c for at least a night. Get some fresh air back in here!

Winter is on the way...highs fallen to low 20's, lows to mid-teens. In celcius of course.

We had shirt-sleeve weather a couple of days ago, but it's back to jackets today. Ah well....
