Warm enough here today (nearly seventy!!! ) that I was able to open up one window in the house. The cats are freaking loving it!

Damn that's cold. I don't think I even want to visit Canada.

after a week of the most beautiful early spring weather imaginable, tonight we are having rain mixed with ice pellets and snow.

We didn't get snow or freezing rain, but the wind was brutal all day.

It has warmed up again Autumn really is a stable time of year, the only hint that winter is approaching is the change of daylight hours - it's a bit darker in the morning when you get up, and it gets dark a bit earlier too... and a bit cooler in the morning too in general.

Same here. It's the quality of the afternoon light that tells you it's really autumn.

It snowed last night...everything's white outside my windows.

Update: it was a cold day out there. Tonight it's expected to plunge down to -21 C. Winter's not going away without a fight.
Fortunately, spring weather is supposed to return by the weekend.

Batty sent me a video of the snowstorm that hit Colorado right after I left....

It's been sunny and pretty warm for the past few days here. I had the windows open for awhile today, and ran errands this afternoon in a long-sleeved t-shirt without a jacket. Supposed to be 70 tomorrow, but rain in the afternoon, and then highs in the 50s through the weekend. Ah well, such is spring...

All three of me? We're not mad: just numb, all numb. The exposed parts, anyway.

Like I predicted, I just knew we couldn't get away with the early spring melt without Old Man Winter giving us the finger one last time.

Yeah, it is below freezing here today, too, right at noon.

Even in the middle of winter we still get in the positive double digits during the day. 'Bout the coldest max temp I've ever seen is aound 12-14°C.
