When remodeling the kitchen in go the lower cabinets

then the upper

the beautiful end result

more new cabinetry next to the super fancy range

the super fancy fridge (Jojo)

in the process of redoing the fireplace

The garage
what it used to look like

framing

plumbing, electric

insulation (Julio, my contractor)

blowing out the kitchen/dinningroom wall to create a two-way bar (and yes my comp's on the dinningroom table, and yes thats a lot of dust and an unexpected furnace vent)

there goes one of two kitchen windows

that's where we are right now-I just moved a crapload of sheetrock and I'm exhausted... :faint:

Very nice kitchen, danlo! Hope the rest goes quickly and smoothly. I admire that you're putting in a lot of gruntwork yourself. If it was me, I wouldn't...because I'd be clueless about what I'm doing. :wink:

knocking out the inside wall for the arch and refridgerator recess

a more definded arch

laying out the heat mats that go under the travertine tile

looking at the washer/dryer room and the water heater closet

washer/dryer hookups and electrical

water heater

installing the PVC shower pan membrane (to ensue no water gets in)

I've got some great new photos, but have been struggling with the loader, you'd think there'd be a way to check the pix you want to load rather than deleting the other 280 :roll:

That's a bummer, danlo. Cameras should be fun, not a hassle. Me, I transfer all the photos directly from my digicam onto my hard drive in one shot, and then review/delete them.

Heh. Have you guys heard about the new smart digital cards they will supposedly start marketing in the next three months? :mrgreen:

You just use you digital camera like usual, but the chip tracks each picture's location in some sort of GPS sort of way - and automatically uploads itself to the internet using wireless technology. You pay something like $20US/year for the membership fee for the website the phots upload to.

I am really geeked. :mrgreen:

I really like the kitchen cabinets. The stain, wood grain is a little different than most cabinets I've seen.

How did the fireplace turn out? The tile work looked pretty cool.

I love the idea of a heated floor. Wish I'd have done that in my bathroom
