what's the most interesting thing you've done today?

Speaking of games, this morning I played some World Driver Championship on my old N64. It's one of the best, most realistic racing games Nintendo ever made, imo. Which isn't surprising, considering the game's designers were inspired by Playstation's mighty Gran Turismo. Hadn't touched the N64 in a while, so it's a nice feeling to get back into the groove of a familiar machine.

I've got a bunch of other old N64 games that I'm gonna re-acquaint myself with. I don't need no high-falutin' Playstation 3 graphics.

Yesterday we went "walking" thru the snowy woods near our property...what a kick it was trying to teach the little ones to walk on snow shoes.

it was my day off from work, and my younger son was off from school (snow day), so we had a Band of Brothers marathon.

Today we followed the Band of Brothers marathon up with something we've wanted to do for years - had an extended edition Lord of the Rings marathon. Started about 11AM Saturday morning, did not finish until about 1:30AM Sunday morning. That does include breaks for bathroom, letting elderly dog outside, meals, and a grocery shopping trip in the middle of the day between FOTR and TTT.

It was simply grand.

Just got a bunch of chocolate delivered to me at work from my dear buddy John, who moved out to Vegas two Junes ago.

Tomorrow for Valentine's day I will get to go out to lunch with Calibaby, followed by a visit to a finanacial planner to see if we can make our pennies scream any louder through pinching them any harder. :wink:

Friday we will go to dinner and a play to celebrate V-Day. :loveflag:

I am glad after the weird and wild weather of the last few days that we should be having a couple of calm days for the weekend. :faint:

My hubby is coming home from his business trip. Should be home soon!

I didn't get any chocolate. But my neighbor, who, like me, does not celebrate Valentine's Day, got a huge (and I mean humongous) basket of chocolate. She wasn't home when it arrived, so the delivery man left it with me, and I got to gawk at it every time I walked by.

She offered me some, but I said no thanks. (What willpower! :cry:
