This looks like the place to say 'Hello'.

I'm 51, I've been reading SF & Fantasy for longer than they've been considered separate genre...and they/it/whatever, still continue to surprise and interest me.

Asimov & Heinlein are still my favourite authors, of any genre...full stop. (And that's despite Heinlein going nuts and churning out self-indulgent, repetitious rubbish...he was still, prior to that, the best teller of a story I've ever read.)

Martin's Ice & Fire & Fevre Dream & Tuff Voyaging
Card's Ender series & Lovelock, his collaboration with K.H.Kidd
Brin's Postman & a few other things
Moorcock
Storm Constantine
Spinrad
Ellison
Those lunatic Illuminatus books

I love it all...and have my own opinions on them all.
(Don't say "G'day" back unless you want to hear 'em!)

Adios
Rockin' & in THe Land of Oz

It's been awhile since I read Illuminatus! But would LOVE to hear your thoughts! *****

COOL! Another Ender fan!

And I was a big fan of Heinlein too, some of my first scifi, along with Ray Bradbury.

Welcome! Come on in and make yourself at home.

Welcome and G'day. Seems like we got another prime member for Gen Sci-Fi. ________________

Little late on the welcome to the Hangar. But really man, welcome to our little bit of lunacy on the Net. "Storm Constantine" that is one author I am definitely interested in hearing more about. So feel free to start a thread in the Gen. SF forum.

BTW, I moderate the Misc. Manifold which is for all sorts of stuff. So post to your feel it's sufficient. We're a friendly bunch. taraswizard
