Hahaha. It's 23°C today, overcast, and I'm feeling a bit cold. Think I need to put a jersey on.

Oh believe me I know. When I lived in the UK, I was an object of derision for my thin blood.

This is the third day in a row where it has been above freezing! (And the third, fourth, and fifth days of 2009 where it has been above freezing). We had so much snow, it is still at least knee deep in most areas, though it has been melting.

It has been a beautiful day here! But there's a winter storm watch starting tomorrow. We could get freezing rain or snow or both.

Well, the rain came - more of a drizzle which turned the pavement into a skating rink. Glad I survived the day's walk without wiping out - really didn't feel like taking a bath in the humongous puddles around. Wonder how many accidents there were today.

I hate freezing rain, freezing drizzle, freezing fog, etc. etc.

We had another day above freezing, and are due for heavy rain the next two days (real rain, not the ice variety). I think all of the snow will be gone very shortly! Well, except for the 1-2 story tall compacted piles in the parking lots. It takes more than a week of above freezing temps and two days of heavy rain to clear those monsters out!

Last week we had a tonne of snow and the whole place grinded to a halt , could,t go to work cause all my gardens were covered in snow, also the area I live in was badly hit snow every day its still in my back garden Plus Im live on top of hill and no vehicles could go up or down for 3 days and the council would,t come to grit as it wasnt a important enough road for them.
The one morning I did venture in my van I slid sidways down the hill and hit the kerb at bottom of road to stop myself luckily no car was there. so I parked it and waited till later in day to get it back up the hill LOL
Then over the weekend there was black ice everywhere .
I was not a happy bunny last week.

That does sound sliek a bad weekend.

We have been having terrible rain all day, after a day of rain yesterday. Most of the surface snow has melted. We are under flood warnings and watches, and are expecting about twelve hours worth of sustained 50-60MPH winds tonight. Everything is a sea of mud and water, one of the largest local rivers, the River Raisin down in Monroe County, has been forming natural ice dams under the bridges threatening bad floods. Widespread power outages are expected tonight, when the very weight of the trees pulls them down in the strong winds, their own roots not being strong enough to hold them up in all of the mud.

We are having the flooding promblem as well what with the snow melting there was not stop rain on Monday , please bring back the summer

We've had lovely weather this week. (Please don't hurt me!) It was near 70 degrees Farenheit yesterday. Right now it's 57 degrees. *Quite* unusual for DC in February.... The temps are supposed to drop again this weekend, tho, so we'll get back to normal winter weather directly.

Gloomy today, but it is warmer than what they forecasted. So we have had a lot of cold rain mixed with snow rather than a snow storm. I am ready for winter to be over.

We're supposed to get another snowstorm tomorrow, darn it. Depending on the storm track, we could get anything from two inches to more than eight inches.

I did fill up the birdfeeders in anticipation, though.

It's back to being chilly here. And windy. Seems like it's been windy here a lot lately (and no, not just on Capitol Hill!).
