I gotta come down in favour of getting at least some excercise. I did practically none whatsoever for ten years...nothing but sit in front of the computer. Within a year (even less actually) of starting to climb, I realised what a big difference a bit of excecise makes.

Well in my case granted, it was probably a combination of my forties AND the thyroid thing, which causes muscle aches.   The two hit close together. Saturday was my 45'th birthday, and I realized that the last birthday I had when I actually felt well was back in 2004 or 2005. The thyroid thing really started hitting me in early 2006 - they did not diagnose it until late 2008, did not start treatment until early 2009. :?

I do move around and sometimes do heavy lifting at my job, so that helps keep me fit.

Went to the cider mill and planted a bunch of spring flowering bulbs today - the weather has finally turned sunny and warm this afternoon. 8) 8)

I campaigned for national health came reform and a very strong public option all day at the University and on the street. Rewarding experience, even though I ran into a few teabagger idiots and one guy I ready to pop in the face.

The teabagging movement is one from the conservative side of the political spectrum who do not want public health care (unless it is something like medicare or medicaid that they directly and personally benefit from.  ) and actively seek to block it.

Work has been crazy lately as the flu spreads. Tonight I get the special treat of working an afternoon-midnight double shift to cover for the midnight person who is out because her little daughter has a terrible case of the H1N1 flu. It will be my turn to work the double because tomorrow is my scheduled day off. And I want my friend's little girl to get better and I am really worried about her - she's been having a really high fever for three days now. :|

Yikes...best wishes to your friend's daughter!

The H1N1 vaccine will be available here starting tomorrow. It'll be the biggest vaccination program in Canadian history.

Still here at work, doing the midnight half of my double. My friend's daughter is now stabilized - she was taken to the hospital on Friday, and her fever is now in the lower 101-102 range.

Already having call-ins for day shift - one person has to take care of her mother who has the flu.

This crap is nuts. On Friday one of the local TV news shows said that more than 190 schools in the state had to close that day due to either H1N1, seasonal flu, or a combination of BOTH. Both strains of flu are just exploding right now. :(
